Willie Troy Gildon was born on February 23, 1946 in Tipton, Oklahoma to Abe and Jamie Mae (Baker) Gildon. He attended Booker T. Washington School east of Tipton and later graduated from Boyd High School in Frederick in 1964. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked in the Automobile Detail Business for many years in California. He enjoyed playing dominos, playing the slots at the casino, horse races, watching western movies and listening to old school music. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church in Tipton.
He is survived by two sons, Cordelle Simpson of Frederick and Willie Troy Gildon, Jr. of San Bernardino, California; one daughter, Diona M. Gildon of San Diego, California; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Lilly May Malone of Clinton; one uncle, Roosevelt Gildon of Wichita Falls, Texas; a special friend, Winnie Thomas of Wichita Falls, Texas; and other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers, Johnnie, Edward, Clarence, Bobbie Bennie, Jackie and Aron Gildon and Floyd “Jack” Perry; and one sister, Peggy Whitehead.
