Early Wednesday morning, about two o'clock, the Death Angel visited another home in this community and wafted home another spirit to that eternal shore, the victim of its early call this time being Mrs. Diana Shupe. "Aunt Diana" as she was familiarly called, was well known in this community and was beloved and respected by all who knew her. For several years she has resided on a farm south of this place, in what is known as the Pleasant Grove district. Several years ago she united with the Christian church and has ever since been a faithful servant of her Master. Her friends were many and she was consistently making more as she always had a kind work and a pleasant smile for everyone. For a number of years she has been afflicted with a complication of diseases and thus has been hindered from mingling with her friends as much as she would have liked. She was sick just about one week, when death came to relieve her of her earthly sufferings and sorrows. She leaves a large number of friends and relatives to mourn her departure.
