I have been researching genealogy since 1993. I take pictures of gravestones in my area (Champaign County, Illinois) even though I have no connection to any of these people. My hope is that someone will benefit from the pictures I provide.

My photos are usually taken in bulk, so I do not take much time to clear the stones or to remove bird droppings. If you require a cleaner picture of a stone, please make a photo request (or message me). When I shoot a stone for a photo request, I take a lot more time.

I have spent over 2500 hours working on a project with the Homer Historical Society and the village of Homer to reconcile the original records of GAR Cemetery (1254439) with the Find a Grave entries. The goal is to identify every GAR burial and to have GPS data and a photo for each location. Where possible, links to family members are added.

The Homer Historical Society is also researching burials in other cemeteries for the area around Homer. Many of the people in nearby cemeteries are related to Homer families.
