PNEUMONIA TAKES MRS. JACKSON, 83

After an illness of two weeks from pneumonia, Mrs. Caroline Elizabeth Jackson, 83, died at 8:20 A.M. Saturday in her home in Benton Ridge.

Born September 29, 1853 in Blanchard township, she had lived her entire life in Hancock county. Her parents were Lewis Dukes and Laura Spangler.

She was married January 31, 1878 to Daniel Jackson who died September 19, 1931. Two children, Alva Jackson, Saginaw, Michigan and Merritt Jackson, Benton Ridge, survive. Three daughters preceded her in death. Fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild are living.

Mrs. Jackson was the last of a family of nine children.

She was a member of the Benton Ridge Methodist Episcopal church and also belonged to the Women's Home Missionary society and Ladies Aid society.

Funeral services were held from the home in Benton Ridge with Rev. F. B. Overholt officiating. Interment followed in Benton Ridge Cemetery with the Coldren funeral home in charge.
