Mrs. M.A. Offield, aged 70 years, died at the home of her son, A.A. Offield, in Taylor early Tuesday morning. Decedent had been in failing health for several months. Interment was made in the Locklin Cemetery, five miles north of Thorndale at 4:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. She is survived by five sons, J.F. Offield of the Sharp community, A.A. Offield of Taylor, Tom Offield of Rockdale, Morgan Offield of Houston and John Offield of Bartlett and one daughter, Mrs. Tessa Hobbs of the Beaukiss community.
