Diane P. Mancini, 67, of North Syracuse, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016. Diane resided in North Syracuse and Pitcher Hill area for most of her life. She also resided in Fabius and Liverpool for several years. Diane was a 1967 graduate of North Syracuse High School and was the daughter of the late James F. and Amelia M. (Porter) Whitney. Diane worked in the banking industry for many years. She was an avid reader who loved spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two siblings, Debbie Gerard and Gerald Whitney. Diane is survived by a son: Scott (Marcie Wertz) Trombino of Mount Dora, FL; her two grandsons, Seth and Caleb; five siblings: James Whitney, Judi (Larry) Taylor, all of North Syracuse, Bonnie (Chuck) Gedney of Liverpool, Penny (Larry) Gessini of Clay, and Dan (Cyndy) Whitney of Cicero; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Contributions in Diane's memory may be made toward the grandchildren's 529 college fund. Checks can be made payable ot Vanguard, c/o Scott Trombino, 30106 Cheval Street, Mount dora, FL 32757. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a Funeral Service following at 7 p.m. Burial will be on Tuesday, 10 a.m. in North Syracuse Cemetery.
