Sven Alfred Erickson 1914 ~ 2003 SALT LAKE- Sven Alfred Erickson, 89, died peacefully October 21, 2003 in Bountiful, Utah. He was born July 4, 1914 in Dalarna, Sweden the son of Johan Alfred and Elizabeth Hollstrom Erickson. Sven served in the Swedish Army Artillery. He married Greta Albertina Andersson on October 25, 1941 in Sweden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Sven immigrated to America in 1949. He was employed as a carpenter for the Salt Lake City Water Department. He was a fan of the Utah Jazz and Woods Cross football. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, spending time with family and working hard. Survived by his wife Greta Erickson of Bountiful, Utah; son Gerry (Margo) Erickson of North Salt Lake, Utah; grandchildren Michelle Payne of Eagle Mt., Utah; Craig (Melissa) Erickson of Eagle Mt., Utah; Ryan Erickson of Sandy, Utah; Melissa (Sol) Oberg of Layton, Utah; Erica (Mike) Smith of Farmington, Utah; Landon Maughan of North Salt Lake, Utah; great-grandchildren Tyler, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Roan and Zane, brother Carl Erickson, Hedmora, Sweden; Per Erickson, Sweden; sister Anna Lisa Jonsson, Sweden; brothers-in-law: Gunnar Andersson, Salt Lake City, Utah; Einer (Ulla) Andersson, Salt Lake City, Utah; and Ake Renlund, Salt Lake City, Utah. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2003 at 12 noon at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2020 South 2nd West, Bountiful. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses at Rocky Mtn. Care Center in Bountiful for their loving care.
