Funeral services for Mahoma "Pat" Mann, 83, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ with Colquitt Nash and Wayne Horton officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home in Hale Center. Mrs. Mann died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at her daughter's residence in Plainview. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Dodson. She married Luther Franklin Mann on June 14, 1945, in Elizabeth City, N.C. He died Aug. 11, 1995. She served during World War II in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1942-45 as a radio operator. She lived in Plainview since 1952. She baked and decorated cakes for the public.

Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law, Laura Y. Smith and Cathryn Hughes, both of Plainview, Sylvia and Johnnie Hatton of Dade City, Fla., and Dana and Mike Moon of Elkhart; one son, Shelby Luther Mann of Amarillo; one sister, Ruby Holland of Mississippi; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials to the Veteran's Administration in Amarillo.
