Paul Martin Mattingly, age 77 of Hardinsburg, KY died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. He was born in Kirk, KY on September 9, 1938, the son of the late Paul Edward and Viola Ethel Martin Mattingly. He was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church and St. Vincent dePaul, a Navy veteran and member of VFW Post 5831 and American Legion Post 81. Paul enjoyed fishing, playing and calling bingo, dancing and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dolly Mattingly, daughter Sharley Hughes, granddaughter Crystal Horton, brother Cecil Mattingly, sisters Mildred Jean Glansbeek, Betty R. Hale, Virginia Gilpin and infant triplet siblings.

Funeral services will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 10 AM with Fr. Brian Johnson officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.
