She was born in Breckinridge County on 2-2-1934, the daughter of the late Paul Edward and Viola Ethel Martin Mattingly. She retired from the Dietary Department of Norton Hospital, was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church and
enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, cooking and family time. She was preceded in death by her husband James Bernard Hale, a daughter - Paula Lynn Aubrey, 2 sisters - Jean Glansbeek and Virginia Gilpin.
