Betty Ross Mattingly Hale, age 74 of Garfield,KY died Friday, 3-7-2008 at her residence. She was born in Breckinridge County on 2-2-1934, the daughter of the late Paul Edward and Viola Ethel Martin Mattingly. She retired from the Dietary Department of Norton Hospital, was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church and
enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, cooking and family time. She was preceded in death by her husband James Bernard Hale, a daughter - Paula Lynn Aubrey, 2 sisters - Jean Glansbeek and Virginia Gilpin. Betty is survived by 7 children: Judy (Roger) Whitehead - Elizabethtown,KY, Pam (Jerry) Raymer and Marquitta (Doug) Brown - Garfield,KY, Sandy (Ikey) Horsley and Sherry (Brad) Voyles - Westview,KY, Terry (Eddie) Flood and Doug (Sharon) Hale - Hardinsburg,KY; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; 4 brothers: Paul M. Visitation on Monday from 3-8PM and after 8:30 AM Tuesday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. Rosary to be recited at 7PM Monday.
