Big Rapids – Patricia Jean Mosher, 69, of Big Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
She was born July 24, 1946, in Big Rapids, the daughter of Henry V. and Charlotte A. (VanOrman) Schohl. Patt graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1965, and on May 28, 1966, she married Allen D. Mosher.
For 36 years, Patt worked in purchasing at Ferris State University, retiring in 2005. She was very committed to St. Mary Catholic Church and her faith.
Patt is survived by her husband Al; her siblings, Bud (Joanne) Schohl, Eileen Brady, Charlene Ferguson, Richard (Kris) Schohl, Marie (Don) Cross, Kay Freeland, and Jack (Faye) Randall; her mother-in-law, Marjorie Bobowik; and many niece and nephews. Patt was preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings, Hank Schohl, Violet Elliott, Tom Schohl, and Shirley Buist.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am, Monday, February 15, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Big Rapids, with Father Michael Burt officiating. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Patt’s family will greet friends on Sunday, February 14, from 4-6 p.m. at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with a Rosary Service beginning at 5:30 p.m. Memorial contributions in Patt’s name may be made for the Susan P. Wheatlake Cancer Center, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
