He was born October 16, 1922, in Edwards County, the son of Kenneth and Welcome (Rude) Broster. Jerry was a 1941 graduate of Browns High School. He married Wanda Morlan January 19, 1946, in Browns, Illinois. He proudly served his country in World War II. Over his lifetime he was a farmer, truck driver and worked in the oil fields. Jerry was a member of Bellmont Christian Church, where he severed as Chairman on the Church Board, trustee and an elder.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Wanda, of 70 years; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Steven Kenneth Broster; brothers, Bert Broster and Kenneth Broster, Jr.; and sister, Betty Ewing.
