Betty Ewing (77) of Browns, IL passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 6:15 PM at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.

She was born February 24, 1931 in Browns, IL. Her parents were Kenneth and Welcome (Rude) Broster. She married Owen Ewing May 2, 1952 and he survives

She was a Postmaster at Browns Post Office for many years. She was a member of Browns United Methodist Church and The Methodist Women. She also served on the Browns Cemetery Board.

She is survived by her husband: Owen of Browns, 2 daughters: Marianne (John) Weber of Albion, Melinda (Dean) Thomason of Browns, 1 son: David (Debbie) Ewing of Chapel Hill, NC, grandson Russell Ewing, Jr., 1 brother: Jerry (Wanda) Broster of Bellmont, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, 1 son: Russell Ewing, Sr. and 2 brothers.

Memorial service held at the United Methodist church in Browns. Burial in the Browns cemetery.
