William Bell, 71, father of James Bell, 313 West Sixth, Muscatine, died Friday at his home at Muscatine after an extended illness.
Mr. Bell was employed at the H. J. Heinz plant here for many years before moving to Iowa City.
Surviving are four sons, James of Muscatine, Lester of Lone Tree, Chester and Clifford of Iowa City; four daughters, Mrs. Delbert-(Florence) Holmes of Ainsworth, Mrs. Marvin (Mildred) Sass of North Liberty, Mrs. Barclay (Gertrude) Mumm of Independence, and Mrs. Charles (Viola) Grimm of Iowa City.
Funeral services, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's church, Iowa City.
