SEARCH PUSHED FOR MISSING CHICORA MAN
Butler County Sheriff Eal B. Walker and Deputy Robert L. (Pete) Waison, manning "walkie-talkie" radio sets, and about 20 Boy Scouts from the Chicora area today combed rough and wooded terrain north of Chicora for a man missing since Sunday morning. Chicora Volunteer firemen had conducted searches in the area Monday night and last night with no results. State Police are also aiding in the search for George Young 56, of Chicora RD 2. Young was last seen by members of the family at 7 am Sunday, when he left his home on the Buena Vista Road near Liggett. He was traveling on foot and carreid a shotgun and shells, his family said. Members of the family requested the missing man's picture be printed in the Butler Eagle in hopes that someone may have seen him. They are also reported to be interested in getting the picture shown on television. State Police have checked with Young's acquaintances and at his usual haunts, but no one has seen the man since he left home. Young is reported to have been despondent since a recent separation from his wife.
