Carasiolo Pedro, a resident of La Puebla, was predeceased by his parents Andres and Sinforosa Maestas; brothers: David, Candido, Oliby and Joe; sisters: Porfiria and Adela; brothers-in-law: Conce Fresquez, Feliciano Quintana, and Max Esquibel; great-granddaughter Phoebe Jade Anaya.

Carasiolo was survived by his spouse Alice Maestas of La Puebla; daughters: Peggy Jimenez and spouse Richard of Albuquerque and their children: Richard, Louis, David and Briana Broshious of Rio Rancho; Joyce Sandoval and spouse Eric of La Puebla and their daughters: Dayna Sandoval of Carlsbad and Desiree Sandoval of La Puebla; sons: Roy Maestas and spouse Cindy of La Puebla and their sons: Aaron Maestas of Phoenix, Steven Maestas of Las Cruces, Adam and Dionne Anaya of Santa Fe and their children Pierce and Stella Belle, Marvin Maestas and spouse Leslie of Los Alamos and their children, Michael and Marlie; sister, Louisa Esquibel of Cuarteles; sisters-in-law: Lila Maestas of Albuquerque, Nina Maestas of Santa Fe, Martha Maestas of Albuquerque.

Carasiolo served in the US Army and retired from the US Forest Service in 1981.

Public visitation and Rosary were on 31 Jan 2016 at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada. Mass of Christian burial was on 1 Feb 2016 at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada. Burial followed in the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers: Aaron Maestas, Steven Maestas, Michael Maestas, David Maestas, Adam Anaya, Richard Louis Jimenez, and Donald Lopez.
