Per his death certificate found on Ancestry.com: he was a son of George Elmore Mayers and an unnamed mother and the husband of Minnie Moore. He was a carpenter. Her resided at 1910 W. 5th St. in Lumberton and died there of artiosclerotic heart disease with (hard to read word) due to generalized arteriosclerosis. The informant was Mrs. Minnie M. Mayers of Lumberton, N. C. Note: his DOB is given as April 29, 1890.
