1940 June 27-Mrs. Sula [Snyder] ... Warren [Mrs. Ollie N. Warren], prominent club woman, died at the Rolfe-Warren home last night. Due to a lingering illness her death was not unexpected. She was the former Sula Snyder of Jonesboro, where she spent her girlhood with her parents, Mrs. J. H. Snyder [nee Ellen Hatcher], and the late J. H. [Jeremiah Hartwell] Snyder. She came to Forrest City 33 years ago following her marriage to the late Mr. Warren. Mr. Warren died last October in an auto accident in N. Little Rock. Mrs. Warren was a prominent leader in women's civic and social activities, in Forrest City. She was instrumental I organizing the Forrest City Garden Club and the Musical Coterie and served as the first president of the Garden Club. The School Improvement Association which was later re-organized and became the Parent Teacher Association was formed largely through her efforts. Among her civic interests was the public library of which she was a trustee. She had been an active member of the Cosmos Club and served as President of the organization in 1922. She was a former secretary of the Forrest City District of the Arkansas Federation of Women's Clubs. She was a member of the Christian Science Church and had an affiliated membership with the mother church in Boston, Mass. Mrs. Warren is survived by her mother, two sons, Oliver N. Warren of Hughes, and Eugene Rolfe Warren of Little Rock; four brothers, Col. Neil N. Snyder, head of the CCC camp at Pocahontas; John W. Snyder, regional director of the St. Louis District of the Reconstruction Finance Corp. [the future U.S. Secretary of the Treasury under President Harry S. Truman]; W. H. Snyder and Eugene Snyder of Memphis; one sister, Miss Deanne [Dee Mae] Snyder of Jonesboro; two grandchildren, Dawn Warren of Little Rock, and Sula Belle Warren of Hughes; and her aunt Mrs. E. A. Rolfe [Belle Hatcher]. Funeral services will be held at the Rolfe-Warren home. Interment will be in the Forrest Park Cemetery. Active Pallbearers: James Fussell, James Edgar, E. J.
