Elmer J. Morehead, 91, of Falls City, NE (formerly of Rulo, NE), passed away January 22, 2016. He was born March 14, 1924 at Rulo to the late Marion W. Morehead, Sr. and Elizabeth (Pettinger) Morehead.
Elmer was raised at Rulo and attended country school at the Red Brick School House. Following his schooling he started farming on the family farm and was a lifelong farm hand, working for several area farmers until retiring in 2010. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Rulo
Elmer is survived by his, sisters-in-law, Helen Morehead and Colleen Morehead both of Falls City, Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, sisters, Josephine Beckner, Mary Morehead, Martha Diehm and Sister Laurita Morehead; brothers, Wilson, Lloyd, Edward, Joseph, Leo and Marion Morehead.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church with Father David Oldham as the presiding priest. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
A Parish Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the rosary.
