Ola B. Woodall Pinder, 77, of Union City, Tenn., a resident of Key West from 1940 to 1985, when she moved to Union City, died August 8, 2002 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City, Tenn.
She was born March 26, 1925, In Berea, Ky., the daughter of the late Luther Woodall and the late Nannie (Gabbard) Woodall Howard. She married Charles William "Billy" Pinder on April 8, 1941. She was a homemaker and was a member of the former Key West First Baptist Church, where she was very active. She was also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles William Pinder Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Charles William "Billy Pinder, of Union City; her son, Roy Robert Pinder Sr., of Key West; three sisters, Ollie (Woodall) Gilliam, of Union City, Ila (Woodall) Hines, of Naples, Fla. and Jeanette Woodall, of Indianapolis; her brother, Ernest Woodall, of Indianapolis; two granddaughters, Valerie (Pinder) Moore, of Key West, and Christina Marie Pinder, of Marathon, Fla.; three grandsons, Roy Robert Pinder Jr., of Union City, Jonathan Berlin Pinder and Bobby Pinder, both of Key West, and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Andrew Henry officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be J.R. Moore, Johnny Fowler, Bill Forrester, Joe Barham, Bill Petty, Hugh Wade and R.E. "Sonny" Frankum.
The family requests that memorials be made to the charity or church of the donor's choice or to Union City First United Methodist Church.
