Immigrated to the US on the ship Atlas arriving NYC Nov. 8, 1848. The Buttles settled in Brooklyn, NY. She married David Edington Swan (about 1843-1892) about February 24, 1865. He died in Chicago, Illinois, but is also buried in Oakland Cemetery per St. Paul Daily Globe obituary
