Henry B. Evanger, 75, 4210 N. 10th Street, died in a local nursing home.

Born in Kingsbury County, South Dakota, he moved to Puyallup in 1934 and to Tacoma in 1944. He was employed by the city, and retired in 1954.

Surviving are his wife, Lena; four daughters, Mrs. Norman R. Olson of Tacoma, Mrs. Wayne Ness of Spokane, Mrs Ervin Atkins of Warrenton, Oregon and Mrs. Loren Harmon of Los Gatos, California; five sons; Donald E. of Tacoma, George E. and Leo V. of Campbell, California, Harold O. of Valley Forge, Washington and Alvin K. of Mohall, North Dakota; three sisters; Mrs. Leonard Zimmer of Norma, North Dakota, Mrs. Oliver Brown of Manchester, South Dakota, and Mrs. Celia Larson of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, Theodore of Mohall, North Dakota, and Peter of Portland, Oregon; 31 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be announced by Mountain View Funeral Home.
