Carl Van Jensen, 61, Hendrum, MN, died Wednesday October 11, 2006 at his home. Van fought a courageous 6 year battle with cancer.
Van was born on July 3, 1945 in Grand Forks, ND to Carl A and Helen (Johnson) Jensen. He married Bonnie (Magnuson) on December 3, 1966 in Ada and had three daughters. He married Cindy (Oien) on September 4, 1987 who had two children and they had another daughter together.
Van drove semi for over 20 years for various companies hauling many different types of loads across the country. He later worked for John Deere Co in Valley City as a service manager.
Van was very proud to have served in the United States Marine Corps. He did a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1965 to 1966.

Van's last few years were spent doing what he loved most, singing karaoke (especially Elvis songs), helping Jeremy on the farm, wood working, sitting on his deck and spending time with this special companions: Bear, Nika, and Loki.
Van is survived by his wife Cindy; five daughters, Jyl (John) Kilness, Hendrum, MN, Melanie (Craig) Gartner, Fargo, ND, JoDee (Bobby) Miller, Twin Valley, MN, Kari (Larry) Chenault, Fairbanks, AK, his mother, Helen Jensen of Ada, MN, four sisters; Marlene (M.A. Bo) Warner, Bloomington, MN, JoAnne (Bruce) Viker, Hillsboro, ND, Patsy (Jerry) Habeck, Belle Fourche, SD, and Pamela (Orville) Dukleth, Hendrum, MN, nine grandchildren: Tim, Joey, Tyler, Michaela, Jakob, Morgan, Blake, Barak, and Christian, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Van was preceded in death by his father, Carl, and a niece Kristine.
