Mary Etta Berry Pittman was born Nov. 17, 1908 in D'Lo, Mississippi to Joseph S. Berry & Frankie Dye Berry. She grew up in the Forest area. She meet James C. Pittman and they married on August 11, 1929. He passed away on May 2, 1967. She remained in Shreveport, La until 1986 then moved to Forest, La, where she lived in her apartment until 2004 before she entered Carroll Nursing Home. She will be known for her love of sewing, canning, and jelly making, also for her love of family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter: Elizabeth Randall & husband Bob of Bryant, South Dakota; grandson: Richard Randall & wife Denise of Fargo, North Dakota; 2 great- grandsons: Josh & Nick Randall of Fargo, North Dakota; brother: J. S. "Junior" Berry of Oak Grove, Louisiana; sister: Maynell Whitney of Machias, Maine; Many nieces & nephews.
