Donna Lee Taunton, a lifetime resident of Bellingham passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the family home. She was born on March 2, 1937 in Bellingham to Axel and Helda (Swanson) Anderson.
Donna graduated from Bellingham High School in 1955 and married Herman Taunton in 1957 at the Anderson family home. Donna worked as a housekeeper for Bellingham Care Center for many years, and the people there became like family to her.
She loved cooking for her family and tending her flowers. Donna's favorite times though, were those spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; one brother; and her daughter, Janet Taunton.
An open house celebration of Donna's life will be held on Saturday, October 4th from 12:00-4:00 PM at the family home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Donna's name, to Whatcom Hospice, 800 E. Chestnut, Suite 1-C, Bellingham, WA 98225.
