Hazel F. Rohde, age 77, of Bellingham passed away Sun., Jan. 4, 2004 in Bellingham. She was born Apr. 18, 1926 in Grasslake, MN to Axel and Hulda (Swanson) Anderson and had been a resident of Whatcom County for 74 years. She married James Rohde on Jun. 28, 1947 in Bellingham and preceded her in death on May 9, 2001. Mrs. Rohde loved her family, camping, entertaining and very much enjoyed baking, cooking and traveling. She recently fulfilled a lifelong dream when she traveled by train to Idaho with daughters Tammy and Judy and grand-daughter Shelby.
Survived by her son Tom & wife JoAnn Rohde, daughters Judy & husband David George, and Tammy & husband Jim Hanson; sisters Dolly Rudy, Gladys Sandal, Shirley Newberry, Betty Oswald and Donna Taunton; grandchildren Tracey, Polly, John, Shelby, Michelle, Megan and Bryan; seven great-grandchildren and numerous other family members. Preceded in death by brother Lloyd Anderson.
Visitation will be held Thurs., Jan. 8, 9:30 - 10:30 am at Greenacres|Moles Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 am in the chapel. Burial will follow in Greenacres|Moles Cemetery.
