Raymond Wilkinson Gilliam, the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Gilliam, died Sunday, February 22nd at 4:15 p.m., after an illness from a complication of troubles. The death occurred at the home of the child’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Gilliam. Raymond was born in the fifth ward November 17, 1909, and with the exception of a few months made his place his home to the time of his death. He was four years, three months and five days old. He is survived by his parents, one sister, Hazel, his grandparents, Mrs. And Mrs. W.M. Gilliam, and Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Clark, four aunts, five uncles and numerous other relatives. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 4:00 o’clock from the home of the grandparents, conducted by the Rev. J. Charles Crawford, pastor of the Gospel Tabernacle. The remains were taken to Linwood Park cemetery, east for interment. The relatives have the sympathy of all in this loss.
