From the Lebanon Patriot for March 3, 1898:

Dora Bowman, second daughter of Henry and Dean Bowman, died Monday, Feb. 28, '98. She had but recently passed her fifteenth milestone in the journey of life and was a favorite companion among a large circle of her young associates. The funeral occurred Tuesday at Providence church near Orth, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Pisgah Cemetery southwest of Orth.

"Be still sad hearts and cease repining.
Behind the clouds the sun is still shining:
Into each life some rain must fall.
Some days must be dark and dreary,"
