Henry Bowman, son of Jno. C. and Mary Ellen Bowman, was born January 28, 1852 and departed this life Nov. 11, 1911 at his home in Indianapolis. His death was due to tuberculosis, with which he had been afflicted for many years.
He was born in Montgomery county near Beckville and has spent nearly all his life in and around Advance, except the last six years which have been spent in Indianapolis. He leaves a wife and four children, John, Grover, Lee and Lilly and a host of friends and relatives to mourn their loss.
Funeral services were held at the Providence church Monday morning at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. L. Carney Interment at Pisgah.

W. H. Bowman, formerly of Boone county, died at his home in Indianapolis at one o'clock Saturday evening, of leakage of the heart. The deceased had been ill for some time, and is survived by three brothers, James, Frank and Oliver, of near Advance; two sisters, Mrs. Esba Armstrong, of this city, and Mrs. W. H. Hunt, of Crawfordsville, and the widow and four children. Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Providence church, and burial was at the Pisgah Cemetery.
