Martha, my great grandmother is the daughter of Jasper Newton Mabray and Mary Ann Hudson. She married Thomas Jefferson Randal on the 25 Jun 1868 in Meridian, Bosque Co, TX.

Mrs. Martha Randal, First White Person Born in Bosque, Dies

The first white child born in Bosque County, Mrs. Martha Randal, 82, resident of Dallas fifteen years, died Wednesday at the home, 329 Sunset. She was the daughter of Jasper N. Mabray, one of the organizers and pioneers of Bosque County.

Mrs. Randal vividly remembered Indian raids that took place during her childhood. On June 25, 1868 she was married to T. J. Randal who then was serving as County Treasurer of Bosque County.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Meridian, Bosque County, with burial there.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Ida Winston and Miss Mary Randal, Dallas; Mrs. Beulah Buckley and Mrs. Vera Price, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Ross Standefer, Waco; a son, Mr. Oscar D. Randal, Amarillo, and sixteen grandchildren.

PIONEER BOSQUE WOMAN IS DEAD

Was First White Child Born In Bosque County

Mrs. Martha Randal, who had the distinction of being the first white child born in Bosque, and one of Bosque county's oldest pioneers, died at the home of her daughter in Dallas, Wendesday, June 6. All that was mortal of this grand old mother was conveyed in Meridian Thurday afternoon, and after impressive formal services at 4 o'clock at the grave in Meridian cemetery, conducted by her pastor, Dr. Wallace Bessett of the Cliff Temple Baptist church, Dallas, was tenderly laid away to rest beside her devoted husband who prededed her in death about fourty years ago.

Many relatives and friends were present to share their esteem for one who had filled various stations in life as daughter, sister, wife, mother, neighbor, friend and filled them well.

Pall bearers were: Clayton Hall, Overton; Randal Winston, Dallas; Harold Standefer, Waco; Winston Roundtree, Dallas; Alf W. Price, Clifton; and Ross Standefer, Waco.

Dallas, June 6-Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Randal, 82, first white child born in Bosque county, are planned for this afternoon at Meridian. She died at her home here yesterday.
Mrs. Randal was a daughter of Jasper N. Mabray, an organizer of Bosque county, and grew up during a time of Indian raids.
