Clarence Kraus, 75, Waite Park Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waite Park, for Clarence L. Kraus, 75, 141-12th Ave. N, Waite Park, formerly of 900-13th Ave. N, who died Sunday at St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Ronald Weyrens will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Williams Funeral Home. East Side VFW will pray at 6:30 tonight at the funeral home followed by parish prayers at 8.
Clarence Kraus was born Jan. 27, 1921, in St. Cloud to Louis and Eleanor (Barthelemy) Kraus. He married Evelyn J. Gohmann on April 22, 1948, in St. Mary, Help of Christians Catholic Church, St. Augusta. He was employed by Cold Spring Granite Company for 29 years, retiring in 1986. He lived in Waite Park for 3 1/2 years and was a member of East Side VFW and St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waite Park.
Survivors include his wife; daughters and sons, Elaine Stangler, Burnsville; Rick, Avon; Audrey Pflueger, St Joseph; Lori Hommerding, Lone Tree, Iowa; Connie Urke, St. Cloud; Kevin, Sauk Rapids; Robert, St. Paul; sister, Bernice Gohmann, St. Cloud; brother, Orville, New Brighton; and 20 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Earl, Irene Rienert, Dorothy Feddema, Erma Lehnen, George and Virgil; and infant brother, Alfred.
