Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in St. Joseph for Audrey E. Pflueger, age 59, of St. Joseph, who passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 after a two year courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. Reverend Joseph Feders, OSB will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery in St. Joseph.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday (Today) and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Parish prayers will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home in St. Joseph.
Audrey was born on September 3, 1952 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Clarence and Evelyn (Gohmann) Kraus. She married Thomas R. Pflueger on August 21, 1970 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Audrey worked as a cook for Kay's Kitchen for many years, and for the last five years as a Personal Care Assistant at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #328 in St. Joseph.
Audrey enjoyed playing cards, bowling, trips to the casino, and shopping. Her greatest joy was the time spent with her family.
Audrey is survived by her husband of 41 years, Tom; children, Jodi (Dan) Keehr of St. Joseph, Aaron of Rockville, James of Rockville; grandchildren, Shelbi and Makayla; mother, Evelyn of Waite Park; brothers and sisters, Elaine Kraus, Richard (Jean), Lori (Gene) Hommerding, Connie (Doug) Urke, Kevin (Sue), and Robert (Cheryl); and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence.
