Clarence Kraus was born Jan. 27, 1921, in St. Cloud to Louis and Eleanor (Barthelemy) Kraus. He married Evelyn J. Gohmann on April 22, 1948, in St. Mary, Help of Christians Catholic Church, St. Augusta. He was employed by Cold Spring Granite Company for 29 years, retiring in 1986. He lived in Waite Park for 3 1/2 years and was a member of East Side VFW and St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waite Park.
Survivors include his wife; daughters and sons, Elaine Stangler, Burnsville; Rick, Avon; Audrey Pflueger, St Joseph; Lori Hommerding, Lone Tree, Iowa; Connie Urke, St. Cloud; Kevin, Sauk Rapids; Robert, St. Paul; sister, Bernice Gohmann, St. Cloud; brother, Orville, New Brighton; and 20 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Earl, Irene Rienert, Dorothy Feddema, Erma Lehnen, George and Virgil; and infant brother, Alfred.
