Charleston Man Dies Suddenly

CHARLESTON, Ill. – A Charleston man died of a heart attack Thursday evening while watching his son play softball in a tournament at Casey.

He was Clyde E. Burrus, 54, who retired as a Nickel Plate railroad locomotive engineer because of poor health.

Mr. Burrus was the father of Marine Lt. Paul C. Burrus, recently reported missing in action in Korea.  Another son is en route home from Korea.

Jr. and Paul C. with army in Korea; services 2 p.m. (CST) Sunday in Enon Church; burial in Roselawn Cemetery; Harper-Swickard Funeral Home in charge.
