Hannah M. Butt Age - 98 6/13/1904 - 4/6/2003 - Funeral Service 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10th at the Solt Funeral Home by Rev. Jack Eske - Visitation Thursday, April 10th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the chapel of Solt Funeral Home in Central City Interment: private committal service will be held at the Central City Cemetery.

Hannah M. Butt, 98, of Central City [NE], formerly of Palmer [NE], died on Sunday, April 6, 2003, at the Central City Care Center. Visitation will be Thursday, April 10th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the chapel of Solt Funeral Home in Central City. Following visitation, funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10th at the funeral home by Rev. Jack Eske. A time of fellowship and a lunch will be held after services at the funeral home. A private committal service will be held at the Central City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Merrick Foundation for the Lock Performing Arts Center.
Hannah M. Butt was born on June 13, 1904 in Saline County to August and Augusta (Burkhart) Butt. The family moved to Merrick County in 1912 and Hannah attended District 50 School in Merrick County. Hannah made her home with her parents.
Her father died in 1949 and her mother in 1953. After the death of her mother, she went to live with her sister and brother-in-law, Bertha and John Hake near Central City. After John's death in 1979, Hannah and Bertha moved near Palmer.
Hannah spent much of her time with her nephew, Weldon Hake, and her niece, Loris Ann Doncheske. Hannah moved into the Central City Care Center in 2002.
As an infant, Hannah was baptized at St. John's United Church of Christ in Western, Nebraska. She enjoyed embroidery work, baby sitting for great nieces and nephews, taking long walks and enjoying nature, and spending time on the farm.
Survivors include three nephews-Weldon and Wilma Hake of Palmer; LaRoy and Alpha Hake of Eureka, CA; and Roger and Marilyn Butt of Central City; seven nieces-Loris Ann and LeRoy Doncheske of Palmer; Nadine and Dale Hilderbrand; Dee and Ken Luebbe; Maxine Jensen; Dorothy and Bud Irwin; Illa Jean Scherer; and Reta Kleve all of Central City; and many great, great, and great great great nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were seven brothers-Otto, Helmet, Rynold, Fritz, and Paul Butt; infant brothers-Anton and Franks Butt; three sisters-Elsie Nickel; Bertha Hake, and infant sister Marie Louisa Butt.
