Margaret Wachs--the daughter of George and Dorothea Scharf-- was born in Wishek, North Dakota, on August 4, 1911.
She was the first matron (administrator) of the Fond du Lac, Wisconsin Lutheran Home (for the aged) from 1938 until her marriage to Lawrence H. Wachs in 1942.
Margaret was a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac for over 60 years and served in many church groups and as a Sunday School teacher.
She passed away on August 1, 2001; preceded in death by her husband, parents and all of her brothers and sisters. She was survived by two sons and six grandchildren.
