G. Hope Orcutt Whisler, of Bettendorf, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at her home. Celebration of Life services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at First Presbyterian Church, 1702 Iowa Street, Davenport. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice of VNA or to First Presbyterian Church, Davenport. Mrs. Whisler was born September 13, 1920, in Monticello, Iowa, to Glenn and Eloise (Hallauer) Orcutt. She married William A. Whisler on December 31, 1943, in Phoenix, Arizona. He died October 8, 1991. She was a homemaker who took an active interest in her sisters, brothers, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
