Delbert Dean Anderson, 57, of Carroll, formerly of Lake City, died Thursday, May 24, 1984, at his home in Carroll, after a long illness.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at First United Methodist Church in Carroll with the Rev. Marvin Arnpriester officiating. Burial with military graveside honors was in the Carroll cemetery.
Mrs. Don Severin served as organist and Mrs. Gilbert Johnson was soloist. Serving as casketbearers were Robert Claiborne, Gerald Redenius, Pete Savage, Paul McClelland, Merle Wernimont, Harry Van Zuiden, Wyatt Osburn and Keith Barkmeier.
Delbert Dean Anderson, son of Cecil A. and Pearl Morman Anderson, was born May 13, 1927, at Lake City. He graduated from the American Institute of Business in Des Moines and served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He served as cashier for the Lake City State Bank for 29 years. He was a stockholder and a member of the bank's board of directors. He was married to Arlene Rose Winn on December 24, 1948 at Carroll.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Arlene of Carroll; three daughters............., three grandchildren; a brother, Charles Anderson of Clinton; and four sisters, Mrs. Don (Vivian) Higgins of Lake City, Mrs. Cecil (Mardell) Lewis of Edinburg, Texas, Mrs. Duane (Barbara) Bass of Troy, Michigan and Mrs. Junior (Connie) Lewis of Riceville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
