John Francis Bogner, 79, of Bradford died at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 1999, at Rosewood Care Center in Peoria.

Born June 21, 1919, in Camp Grove to Frank Paul and Gertrude Maude Barnes Bogner, he married Mary O. Sendelbach on Dec. 18, 1944. She died Dec. 13, 1962. He married Ruthe (Cree) Tumbleson on Nov. 26, 1975, in Bradford. She died Jan. 4, 1984.

One sister and one brother also preceded him in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Mary Barbara Martin of Peoria; one son, Thomas of Chicago; one stepdaughter, Kris Cox of Virginia, Ill.; one stepson, Harla Tumbleson of Seattle; five brothers, Howard of Peoria, James of Florida, William of Bradford, Robert of Toulon and Richard of Lacon; and four sisters, Mary Maher of Wyoming, Ill., Mrs. Joe (Jean) Moore of Illinois, Arlene Britt of Peoria and Dorothy Westerfeld of Kickapoo.

He was a farmer. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bradford.

Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
