WIFE OF T.A.R. DAVIS-Death of Mrs.Anna Alley Davis=The community was shocked last Friday to learn of the death of Mrs.Anna Alley Davis, which occurred at her home south of the city at an early hour. Mrs.Davis was, daughter of Mr.& Mrs.Henry and Martha Alley, born Jul.16,1838,in her 72nd year and was a native of Moscow,Tennessee and had been living in this county since 1872. She was the widow of T.A.R.Davis whome she married Aug.17,1858 with whom she lived until his death May 21,1905. She was a member of the Methodist church, and leaves two daughters, Misses Mattie and Tommie Davis, and three sons, Messrs.Charley, Henry and Winfield Davis, all of this city. She also has two brothers and Tom Alley of Rossville,Tennessee and J.H.Alley of this city, and three sisters, Mrs.Frank Ballard of Rossville, Tenn., and Mrs.Sallie Smith and J.H.ALLEY of this city. The remains were buried in the Forrest City Cemetery, the Rev.B.L.Wilford officiating on Saturday. She was educated at Marshall Co. Institute, Miss. Forrest City Times Newspaper Mar.25,1910
