Mrs. Velma Harleen Church Clark Reed, 75, Lincoln Park, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, in Detroit after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Reed was an Avery County, N.C., native and had lived in Johnson City, Tenn., before moving to Michigan. She was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Emma Harmon Church. She retired from General Motors. Mrs. Reed was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Clark and Ross Reed; one son, Robert Clark; her infant twin brother, Harl Church; one brother, Dexter Church; and one sister, Thelma Morrison. Survivors include four brothers, Tracy Church, Earnest Church and Dean Church, all of Johnson City, and Robert Church, Berea, Ky.; five grandchildren, Cathy Piche, Robin Geist, Willard Clark, Velma Clark and Robert Clark Jr., all of Detroit; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
