Graveside funeral service for Rufus Busby, 87, of Chickasha, will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 1, 1998, in Fairlawn Cemetery. Eddie Binyon will officiate.
Rufus Busby was born Feb 28, 1911, in Walters, the son of Thomas Busby and Martha Elizabeth Shelby Busby. He died on Tuesday, April 28, 1998,
in Chickasha.
He married Juanita L. Sitterding on July 2, 1932, in Chickasha. She preceded him in death on Dec 27, 1990.
Mr. Busby came to the Ninnekah area in 1925 from Duncan. He was a farmer and rancher. Rufus moved to the Meridian Community in 1941, where he lived the rest of his life.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include daughter, Beverly J. Rayburn of Alex; son, Bennie J. Busby of Chickasha; daughter, Marilyn S. Rodgers of Anadarko; son, Tommy Busby of Chickasha; son, Jerry M. Busby of Chickasha; twelve grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
Service will be under the direction of the Brown-Binyon Funeral Home.
