WILSON -- Services for Montie Dean Allred, 79, held Sunday, July 16, 2006, at Alexander Funeral Home with the Rev. Ben Shirley officiating. Interment is at Dixie Cemetery.

Born Jan. 8, 1927, in Pinto, Okla. Stephens County, to Harvey and Beedie Irene Hancock Allred, he died July 13, 2006, at his residence. He was preceded in death by; his parents; brothers, David, Walter and Burt; and sister, Opal Boyd.

Born at Pinto, north of Ringling, Montie attended and graduated from Wilson High School then joined the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II, serving honorably as a machinist mate. He worked many years in the oil fields, retiring from Exxon. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Hewitt Masonic Lodge.

He and Norma Louise Farrell were married on Feb. 14, 1992, in Gainesville, Texas. She preceded him in death on Oct. 29, 2005.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Robinson and Greg Pierce, Wilson; two sons, Marcus Ray Allred and wife, Dawn, Muskegon, Mich., and Michael Wayne Allred and wife, Susan, Duncan; four step-children, Richard Farrell, Santa Maria, Calif., Johnny Farrell, Fort Collins, Colo., Darrell Farrell and Cindy Bazzrea, Wilson; six grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren.

Bearers will be Darrell Farrell, Walter "Cowboy" Robinson, Justin Allred, Darin Farrell, Royce Sanders, Terrell Tucker and Greg Pierce. Honorary bearers are Walter "Von" Allred, Malcome Tudor, Charles Dutton, Ed Cavener, Morice Todd, Frank Carriker, David Allison and all co-workers at Exxon.
