CLARKSVILLE - Andrew P. Haan 80, of Clarksville, formerly of Kesley and Parkersburg died Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Community Nursing Home, Clarksville, of natural causes.
He was born Sept 4, 1926, in rural Kesley, son of John and Maggie Bohlen Haan He married Frances M. Hugh on June 1, 1954, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua She died June 16, 2001. He worked at the sale barn in Aplington and later also drove a semi-truck for Ray Uhlenhopp out of Aplington. They moved to norm of Aplington and Mr. Haan worked for area farmers, and later they moved to Beaman where he worked for Ritchie Industries, retiring in 1992.
Survived by a son. Dale A. (Eva) of Waterloo: a daughter, Kathy (David) Colin of Conrad; and two grandchildren Preceded in death by: five brothers, John Jr, Harm, Jake, Fred and George; and a sister, Jennette Birley.
Services: 1 pm Tuesday at the Hitesville Gospel Hall with burial in the Hitesville Cemetery, both in rural Kesley. Public visitation from 4 to 8 pm Monday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Shell Rock, and for an hour before services Tuesday. Memorials: may be directed to the family.
