James Henry Barnes, 76, died Tuesday, Jan. 31 at the Franklin Health Care Center after an extended illness. Mr. Barnes, a resident of Franklin and a long time native of Williamson County, was a self-employed carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Sadie Barnes; daughter Dorothy Ann Barnes; and son Ollie Warren Barnes; sister Mary B. Stampfli. Survived by son, Delmar Barnes of Nashville; three brothers, Leonard Barnes, William E. Barnes and Milton Barnes, all of Franklin; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Feb. 3 at the Williamson Memorial Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ronnie Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Leonard, Milton and William Barnes, Dennis Veach, Larry Barnes, Randy Andrews, Roy Barnes and Raymond Ambrose.
