Dorothy Ann Barnes of Nashville, granddaughter of Williamson County residents died Monday night in General Hospital in Nashville of injuries she received in a traffic accident on January 21 on Dickerson Road in Davidson County. She was the first traffic fatality for Davidson County in 1961. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Franklin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Walter Lee Smithson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Barnes Of Nashville. Survivors include her parents; two brothers James Delmar and Ollie Warren Barnes of Franklin, grandmothers, Mrs. Ollie Barnes of Franklin; and Mrs. Warren Deal of Fairview, seven aunts and five uncles. Pallbearers were Lee, Edward, Fount and Thomas Barnes, Wiley Raymond and Edward Burr Ambrose.
