Mrs. Virgie Lena Smith, 71, wife of Sherman Smith, died last night at their home in Ellerslie. Born at Buffalo Mills, Pa., a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Emerick) Emerick, she had lived in the Ellerslie area 33 years. Mrs. Smith was a member of Ellerslie Evangelical United Brethren Church. Surviving, besides her husband are two sons, Guy Smith, Cleveland; and Charles Smith, Irwin, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Barton, Monroeville, Pa.; two brothers, Samuel and Ross Emerick, both of Hyndman, Pa.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body will be at the residence on Church Street, Ellerslie, after 1 p.m. tomorrow. Services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Ellerslie EUB Church by Rev. J. L.
