Ross Emerick, 79, of Hyndman, died Friday morning, September 11. 1981, at the home of David Burkett in Hyndman. He was born in Buffalo Mills RD 1 on February 18, 1902*, the son of Andrew and Annie (Smith) Emerick. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine (Dennison) Emerick. Mr. Emerick was a retired track foreman for the B&O Railroad, now the Chessie System, and a member of the Kennel Mills Sportsmen's Club. He lived his entire life in Hyndman. Mr. Emerick is survived by the following nephews and nieces who are all residents of the Hyndman area: [names redacted]. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 13 at 2 p.m. at the Harvey J. Zeigler Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward Murray officiating. Interment will be in the Lybarger Cemetery.
