Mary Adeline Morrison, was born in Portland OR. the daughter of William Taylor and Mary A. Green-Taylor. Mary was known as Addie and went by that name throughout her life. She married Joseph Smith Morrion and had 1 Uncle who's named was Charles Green who lived in and around Beatrice, Wymore and Blue Springs, Nebraska.

Addie had been legally blind since childhood after having a cinder in her eye that led to an infection that effected both eyes. She attended the blind school in Salem, Oregon where she also learned to sew, cook and do many other tasks. At 21 years old she married Joseph S Morrison Sr. he was about 30 years her senior but that mattered little to her, as she knew he'd be a good father and husband. Together they raised 6 children, 1 additional child "Charles" died at birth and is buried at the IOOF Cemetery also known as the Marshfield Pioneer Cemetery in Coos Bay, OR. Addie was short about 5'2" and she had the most beautiful long red hair.

Even though Addie was legally blind she could see shadows, and could read and write with very good light and she read the paper but had to put the paper close to her face. Addie was a loving mother and wife, her son Fred remembers that she had beautiful long red hair and how much she loved and took wonderful care of her children. She was also good friends with Annie Miner Peterson a well known Indian women who lived in Charleston, OR.

In 1938 Addie became ill and had to have her Gallbladder removed, she died about 20 days later at Keizer Hospital in North Bend OR of an acute intestinal infection. Joe died 6 years later of a stroke and they were buried in Sunset Memorial Cemetery after Joe's death, their children went together and bought the headstones for their graves.
