Norman was born to Frances G. and J.S. Lowry in Center Township, Rock county, WI. Norman had four siblings-in order of birth-Ralph(1897), Edward(1900), Mabel(1902), Norman(1905)/Doris(1912). He most likely was born at the Leyden General Store-a place that still stands as of 2016.
The family ran the Leyden General Store for several years where they had neighboring land that 75 years later his cousin, Stanley J.(and daughter Colleen)Lowry would plow/plant and purchase their food supplies at the General Store.
He married Jessie Marie Smith in Alhambra, CA. where the family relocated in the 1920s. He and Jessie had one son William Carroll and one daughter, Jesse Marie(Smith). Both of his children grew to adulthood and lived on in the local area, married and raised his grandchildren.
They were blessed with 5 grandchildren-Roberta and Michael Lowry, and Marie, Patti, and Teresa Laspesa.
He was survived by his wife before she joined him for eternal rest in 1981. He was buried in Resurrection Cem., San Gabriel, CA.
